When the leader of the gang is killed, Ho muscles in and tries to take over, igniting his transformation from small-time thug to notorious criminal in the style of Arsène Lupin and Al Capone. Based on the novel by José Giovanni (Classe Tous Risques), this elegantly thrilling gem of European neo-noir was directed by Robert Enrico (The Last Adventure, The Old Gun), shot by Jean Boffety (Dog Day) and scored by François de Roubaix (Le Samouraï).
